Peace

Peace the absence of War
The presence of justice
Freedom delivered on a B52
War the tool for Peace
Tyrannical enforcer removed
Evil personified, or reflected
Peace the victim of who’s truth
Democracy imposed equals Peace?
The corridors of time littered
With the bones and bodies
Of those who had no choice
Either way they were victim
To the power of Peace imposers
Think as we think, live as we live
Do as we do, believe as we believe
Then peace will be your prize
No hidden motives in Caspian sea
Neo-imperialist wrapped in flags
What is the price of Peace
Monopoly of resources
Global market, personal gain
Oil men in tall hats, crippled souls
For where your heart is
There also is your treasure
Mammon strives for peace
But not at all cost
Just the market price
Peace, peace they cry
But there is no peace
Where justice is blind.

PEACE LAND  / IJADOGAN JOEL (RELATIVE)  Read >>
PEACE LAND  / IJADOGAN JOEL (RELATIVE)
Peace
Can be found deep down in the heart
Peace
Can easily be torn apart
Peace
Once found, keeps a strong binding seal
Peace
Something people forget to feel.

With peace people truly find happiness inside
However, misconstrued ideals meant others have died
For this we shall always weep
For the peace we never keep.

Why must we turn to bad?
Why do we have to get so mad?
All we do is tear ourselves asunder
Send others that sound of thunder.
BOOM! Is what they hear
Sure death, is what they fear.
This lack of peace destroys the world
I wonder if Global peace will ever be unfurled.

Maybe Peace shall never be.
Maybe it’s something we just can’t see.
Civilisation may only thrive because it is missing
This death we keep on kissing
Maybe it’s just nature’s way
To keep us at bay
As the world is only small
And each man is a fool

So just maybe this lack of peace is needed
Should peace really be pleaded?
Does love come from the peace we lack?
As surely hate brings us back
To the ones who will always be there
Even when there’s too much to bear
For without it the meaning would be gone
As without it the light would never have shone
Calling out for help in times of need
Waiting for those who stop us bleed.

From this, my mind redeems
That peace inside isn’t what it seems
As inner peace is caused by battle
Many structures need to rattle
For this brings us closer to those special things
Which when without, our heart stings
So the outlook on peace is amiss
So down we fall into the abyss
For global peace shall not be found
For advancements are always bound
Most of which are through debate
However peace inside we can create
As this allows us to live as intended
As someone shall always be offended
For the human race to grow
Disagreement we must show
It is part of who we are
Whether it is near or whether it is far.
So, global peace is what many long for
But with this man is no more
For many strive to change what is mankind
When in reality, true peace is only in our mind.

The evil doers might have silenced your mortal mouth but your ideas will live for ever. Ekitiland cannot afford the loss of any progressive mind. You were a great mind. Sleep well in the Lord, my friend.
May the good Lord grant those that you left behind the fortitude to bear the loss. Adieu till we meet to part no more.

TRIBUTE FROM UR ABURO!!!  / Bose Layinka (Niece)
My dear uncle Ayo!!...its been one whole year without u around and it still seems to me like u didnt even go anywhere. That u are still around but maybe in ekiti doing ur good work and am here in swindon hoping that u will call to say hello.
Only last week when aunty kehinde and the boys were here she told me she had a dream that u telephoned her to ask if they arrived swindon alright!!.....thats exactly what you would have done!....thats what u did...even in a dream!....I know u are watching them and God will not allow anything bad to happen to then
anytime i came to the house and met u, there was always someone to introduce...a distant family member or a good friend  who u could show me off to.... u would call me and say to me...'''se o mo omo baba lagbaja....ni ijan'''.....or tell someone ...'''meet my aburo...omo aunty vic and daddy daramola'''....
It was so much fun then. But u know us human beings...we dont appreciate what we have until we loose it. Lagos bank job didnt allow us to meet often. None the less, i know i learnt a lot from u uncle.
It will gladen ur heart to know that aunty kehinde is in good control of the boys and they are all doing well only i know they miss u.....we all do. they are her ''bodygaurds'' especially with ur height
while they were here aunty kehinde and i 'gossiped' about u all the time. we talked about u like u would walk through the front door the next minute.
I remember then back in nigeria, u would say to aunty Kehinde.....'''mummy!..come and meet mr (x)''' and she would say to u....'''Dr...ki le wi?'''
u were taken away from us by the devil's advocate one year ago, but to thier surprise, u landed in God's arms. Only if they knew they would have preserved ur life. Am sure they were even jealous of ur fame AFTER DEATH!!.....They cant have 1/100th of that in their life time.
I always wonder how u will spend ur time if God gave u one minute to come back.....maybe u will spend quality time with aunty kehinde, Afolabi and Dimeji being a good family man.....or call an ekiti family meeting to ensure they unite even when u are not around, being an elderstates man????? who knows???
U loved ekiti.... u died for ekiti...u loved family ties....u would ve made an excellent ekiti state governor........but God knows best. ur death for ekiti will not be in vain...
We have been praying for one year now....we will continue to pray cos we ve yet a long way to go ....praying.....
may God answer all our prayers AMEN

CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE UNCLE AYO

Its been a year...  / Ola Dokun (Niece)

Wow, Its hard to believe a year has gone by already, a year that was extremely hard for those who love and cherish you. It went by and we all got by because we know you are in a better place and you are in the hearts of those who love you. People say things happen for a reason but its hard to understand such sentiment when you loose someone very dear to you. We all miss you so very much. Whenever you were around it seemed like there was a light in the room, a smile, and a hug. Little thoughts and memories pop into my head every now and again, I remember how you would make us sit and watch those Yoruba movies with you and we all just dreaded it. What I will give to watch a Yoruba movie with you again even if it is just one more time. Or how we went to Mr Biggs one sunday afternoon because thats what D2 and everyone else wanted but then we got there and ordered almost everything on the menu only to realize you forgot your wallet. These are the memories I will continue to hold on to and cherish forever. My cousins went from boys to men overnight. They are surrounded by people who love them, don't worry they'll grow up to be all they can be to the fullest potential and make you a proud father. Keep watching over us, we know you are, you've always been a caregiver. We all love and miss you!!!!
Oh, I forgot to tell you...I won my elections!!!

Hello Uncle  / Motunde Dokun (Niece)

Uncle, Wow i have not been a good son lately at all! It’s been hard to deal with you gone. In fact I have not tried to think about it nor process it in my mind, in all honest truth I have just ignored it because its just unbelievable. I am truly sorry for this.
But I just came to realize that a man like yourself is not gone; you very much around, just in another form and in a better place.
Where do I start, I graduated this year from Davis, and I just feel like you were one of the people that helped and encourage me to remain focused so that I can be where I am today, which is a graduate. With that I just want to say a "Big thank You;" for with your guidance, I am about to embark on my next journey.
I know things happen for a reason, permit me to say this, but history has shown us that Good and Great men have been taken away from this world when they are about to do something Great or make a favorable impact on the lives of others. People like former President JFK, Dr. King, Nelson Mandela for 27yrs, Malcolm X. These people are all heroes because they were taken away in the light of their beliefs, principles and dreams. I add you to this list of such great men and hope that one day I become half the Man that you were in our lives; to one day embark on your dreams that you dreamt a life of fairness and equality. You will never be forgotten and I love you.
Motunde.
